The Global Health Plans give you three areas of cover to choose
from:-
AREA ONE: World-wide cover with cover in the
USA & Canada restricted to the first 45 days spent there during
any annual period of cover for accident and emergency treatment
only.
This option gives you full cover outside the USA and Canada and
emergency cover only in the USA and Canada. Emergency cover means
essential emergency treatment required if you suffer a sudden and
unexpected illness or an accident whilst you are on a temporary
visit to the USA or Canada. It will not cover treatment which could
reasonably have been delayed until you return to your country of
residence. Under this option cover will automatically cease from
the 46th day you spend in North America during your annual period
of cover.
AREA TWO: World-wide cover with cover in the
USA and Canada restricted to the first 30 days spent there during
an annual period of cover.
This option allows you to elect to have treatment in the USA and
Canada, but limits the time you can spend there during any annual
period of cover to 30 days. Under this option cover will cease from
the 31st day you spend in North America during your annual period
of cover.
AREA THREE: World-wide cover including the
USA & Canada.
This option gives you full, year-round cover in the United States
and Canada.
IMPORTANT NOTE FOR US AND CANADIAN CITIZENS ONLY Due to legal
and licensing laws we are unable to cover American and Canadian
citizens who live permanently in the USA or Canada. If you are an
American or Canadian citizen and you choose the world-wide cover
option, please note that your North American cover will automatically
cease from the 91st day you spend in your Home Country during your
annual period of cover.
