Claims and Assistance

Medical assistance whenever you need it
When you are insured by Global Health you will have full access to the world-wide medical network of International SOS - the world's largest independent assistance service. If you need to talk to someone about a medical problem, or you need assistance or advice about finding a nearby doctor, simply call the 24-hour medical help-line and talk to Internatiol SOS.

Personal Global Health Membership Card
Your personal Global Health membership card will give you all the emergency contact numbers you'll need. Keep this card with you at all times and you'll only ever be a 'phone call away from medical help.

Assistance when you need to be admitted to hospital
International SOS will assist with your admission by providing verification of your insurance cover and a guarantee of payment when required.

Rapid assistance in a medical emergency
With Global Health, if you become critically ill or injured and can't get the necessary hospital treatment locally, International SOS will evacuate you to a hospital in another country which has the facilities and the expertise you require. Provided your medical condition is life threatening and requires immediate in-patient treatment which is not available locally, SOS will make all the arrangements to have you evacuated as quickly as possible.

Our international claims team, managed by Robert Titcomb, is available during UK working hours to talk to you about any aspect of your claim.

Making a claim
When you join Global Health you will be issued with a claim form. If medical attention is needed, you should take the claim form with you and ask your doctor or dentist to complete and sign the form. Upon receipt of a completed claim form and the original bills, we are in a position to assess your claim.

Settling your claim efficiently and promptly
At William Russell we settle claims here in our UK offices and we are currently settling properly documented claims within 5 days of receipt. Our preferred method of settlement is by bank transfer, direct to your bank account, or direct to the hospital's bank account.
